Social Skills Group for Girls

At Inspire Behavior Therapy, we are excited to be offering a new social skills group just for girls. Our social skills groups are tailored for the individuals within the group and focus on a variety of skills, including but not limited to: greeting friends and classmates; initiating, maintaining, and ending conversations; requesting help; interpreting non-verbal social cues; dealing with bullying; emotional regulation; and understanding the “hidden curriculum” of appropriate school behavior.

What you should know about our classes

  • Curricula are based upon the strengths and needs of each group
  • Low student: therapist ratio
  • This group will be developed and supervised by Jennifer Shubert, Ph. D.

  • Programming will last 14  weeks (May 5th-August 11th)
  • 4-week units provide in-depth coverage on each topic (last unit will be 2 weeks)
  • Weekly feedback forms provide parents with strategies for generalizing and maintaining skill development
